Your morning HRV rewrites today's session.

Veylan reads your HRV, sleep and resting heart rate from your Apple Watch each morning, then adjusts today's actual workout — the top-set weight, the working sets, the movements. Not whether to train. How.

The gap

Your recovery score said red.
Now what?

Every recovery wearable stops at the number — a colour, a score, a vague "take it easy". But a score is a readout, not a training plan. You are still standing at the rack guessing at the weight.

Veylan starts where they stop. Same session, adjusted to the morning you are actually having.

How it works

Three steps, every morning.

01

Your watch collects the signals

HRV, sleep stages, resting heart rate and active energy, read straight from Apple Health each morning. No extra hardware, no manual logging, no subscription to a second device.

02

The algorithm decides

A deterministic recovery model scores readiness, classifies which of five fatigue types you are carrying, and sets the modification level. Same input, same output, every single day.

03

The coach explains the call

An 80-word brief tells you what changed and which signal drove it, so you walk in knowing the weight on the bar and the reason it is that number.

The engine

The algorithm decides.
The AI only explains.

Most "AI fitness coaches" push raw biometrics into a language model and hope. That is how you get a different answer on Tuesday than you got on Monday for the same data.

Veylan is built the other way round. A deterministic algorithm makes the training decision; the language model's only job is to write the brief that explains it. Read thirty briefs in a row and they are consistent, specific, and always cite the exact signal that moved the number.

  • 5 fatigue types classified — acute, accumulating, latent, neural and lifestyle, each changing the session differently
  • 28 goal × experience rule sets, sports-science reviewed, deciding how your plan bends
  • 3 signals read every morning — HRV, sleep and resting heart rate — with confidence gated on how much history you have
  • 80 word ceiling on every brief. Cited, specific, and never padded

Straight answers

Who it's for, and what it needs.

Built for

  • Lifters six months or more into consistent training
  • People who already own and wear an Apple Watch
  • Anyone comfortable with RPE and rep ranges
  • Whoop, Hevy and MacroFactor users who want the layer that connects recovery to the actual lift

What it needs

  • iPhone only. No iPad or Android app today
  • An Apple Watch. The recovery engine reads HealthKit — without it there is nothing to score
  • About two weeks of wear before confidence reaches its highest tier
  • English — en-GB and en-US at launch

Not built for absolute beginners, and it will say so. Veylan is a training tool, not a medical device — it does not diagnose, treat or prevent anything.

Train the day you're actually having.
